As I understand it the regular tyre size fitted to 16" Fabia Mk II wheels is 205/45/16.

Has anyone fitted 205/55/16's ? Or something with a similar aspect ratio?

 

I understand there are insurance considerations, but are there any running/gearing considerations to worry about?

You mean beyond that a 205/55 is 20.5mm larger radius, so may cause clearance problems on any or all of the inner wings, arch return lips and spring perches, and may put your speedometer out of calibration?
