vRS Combi Rear seat removal

Featured Replies

Chaps.

Being lazy here and I know I should have tried but is it straightforward?

I'm talking about the part of the seat you sit on NOT the bit you lean against.

Thanks everso...

- Remove caps for ISOFIX child seat mounts.

- Remove the lug.

- Grip on both sides with both hands under the seat bench in the area of the mounting grommet and pull up forcefully and with a sudden motion.

Nice one, thank you.

The act of removing the rear seat usually destroys the plastic gizmos at the front of the seat as they are one-way only. They are relatively cheap and easy to replace.

Oh, yes.

On the page 413 of the service manual it says:

"Before assembling the seat bench replace the mounting grommets as these parts are not designed for reuse."

Anybody know the part number?

Hi All

I ordered two seat grommets today.

Just so you know, they are £2.45 plus VAT each.
