I have an octavia 2 1.9tdi pd and it is coming up the the first service (20000 miles). How much about does this service cost? It is an ambient model and has a chrome gear nob. The chrome is starting to peel off will this be covered under the waranty?

I'd guess at about £160 if it's on the variable servicing.

I'd say around the £200-£220 inc the SLX2 oil (best part of £50 on its own).

1.3 hours labour on the Octavia 2 IIRC for the first variable.

Ask your dealer about the gearknob, they should change it, do you wear a ring on your left hand?
