Hi All,

 

I have been away for a while so had to create a new account !!

 

The INSP has come on, it beeps then flashes - annoying 

 

I have tried the standard press the button in and hold, ignition on , off ,  release etc etc but the INSP stays on -

 

My diagnostic tool won't clear it as it's for engine management only.

 

Any ideas gratefully rec'd

 

The car is 2007 MK1 VRS SE

Press button in and turn left or right (can't remember right now) then turn ignition on.

On mine - press & hold clock button. Turn ign on and wait a few minutes.

VCDS - service reset application.  I've got lazy.

I’m even lazier ,as it does not involve any leads or taking off bits.

Ive tried all the slightly different methods that have been referred to on here and the spanner and INSP is still on  !!!!!!

 

Is my only option a dealer visit

Hold in trip button

Turn IGN on whilst still holding

Release button as soon as 'oil' appears

Hold in button

Release button as soon as 'INSP' appears

Turn button right until - - - - - - appears

Turn IGN off.
