Fabia vrs limp mode woth pics

Featured Replies

Hi all I was going to do the mr muscle trick this eve but I've had a nosey and once I took the under tray off I was greeted with the attached pics.

Loads of oil. Could this be a damaged turbo or a bad seal?

Unsure if I should mr muscle or investigate further. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ryan

They do blow a lot of oil into the boost pipes tbh.

Looks like you've got quite a lot of soot on the turbo too,got an exhaust leak somewhere.

I wouldn't let that oil stop you doing the Mr.Muscle job tbh :)

Cheers :)

Is the downpipe in there somewhere?

Is that where the leak could be coming from?

It could be the DP to turbo joint,or it could actually be leaking from the join of the turbo core to the turbo exhaust housing.

its probably nothing to worry about if that soot build up is from years of a small leak.

It looked to me if there was oil at the flange above the turbo - could this just be a leaking cam cover gasket - just a thought.

Could be blowing out of the joint between turbo and boost pipe out of turbo.

I would replace the seal on the boost pipe whilst under the car :)
