Rear Interior Lights stuck on

Featured Replies

Yesterday I got into my Superb and the rear interior lights were on when I started the engine.

Cannot turn them off - no comibination of switches and lights makes any difference. They go off once I turn off the ignition and lock the car.

Before I go to the dealer to look at this any suggestions why? Am I missing something?

Only started yesterday been fine for 2 weeks previous to this.

Thanks

I'm sure that this has been covered before, so try searching for it or if all else fails I'm sure that you'll find it covered in the owners manual.

That was me with the same problem when I first had my car; you need all four buttons in the front light panel and both in the rear one pushed in.  In my case, the problem was that my two year could reach the rear buttons!

Found the same on mine.....with a 3 1/2 year old wondering "what happens if I press...........". At least LEDs use less power than bulbs.

Ahh that's what it is! All sorted now - my 7 year old was the culprit.

Hi everyone,

Just joined after a couple of years of invaluable lurking on the forum to add my experience with this problem, since my fix was the REVERSE of D402's. I found that all the buttons needed to be OUT. Go figure...

And in my case it was a 70 year old friend who was to blame 😉.

My car is a Superb 3 Estate dated November 2016.

You'd be surprised how many of our fleet come in with 'rear lights stuck on' and its simply the REAR button has been pressed and no one notices
