rite here goes...... tusday evening after covering a good 15/20 miles i parked up for a hour then proceeded to go out again. 100yards into my journey everything died apart from the battery light. pulled over turned ignition on and off still only a battery light no radio lights or anything yet the car still turned over on the key??? rushed back home got the missus car as my kids were waiting. got back went back to the car started fine. drove round for a bit all seemed well apart from the trip and fuel read outs had reset.

moving forward wednesday morning car was still fine went to work on both smooth and bumpy roads came home the same way all was good. took the kids to their swimming lesson again fine. then half a mile into journey home it did exactly the same, this time a whole manner of things going on all lights on dash flashing like disco lights relays rapidly clicking puddle lights in doors doing the same. then it would stop for a few mins with only the battery light on. it still turned over??? also with everything off press the brakes the main beam light lit on the dash and the sidelights came on just on  the outside mind. got everyone home and went back with a couple of mates now we are all pretty good with cars. checked fuse box on battery all good. connections on ecu under windsrceen dry and good. again this disconnected it still turned over. all other fuses are fine. ive earthed  the battery to the chassis separately still the same and aslo earthed the engine to chassis still no good.....

today friday day off and need to fix this.... in my hand i have relay 409 and relay 337 with these out everything seems stable on the dash and when turning over. short of changing these two relays and probably ending up back at square one im at a complete loss and slowly begining to admit defeat. not once in a year and 15000 miles has this car faulted.....any help ideas or advice would be seriously appreciated

You can get the engine to run yes? Ok, look and see if the alternator (the alternator shaft and rotor, not just the alternator pulley) is turning. If it is, continuity check the load sense wire, and it it isn't replace the pulley because the sprague clutch has failed/is failing.
