xenon bulbs

Featured Replies

hi all

need some advice,  my bulbs have seemed a bit dimmer as the years have gone by and I was thinking of getting new ones.  I just rang Faintree Skoda and they have quoted me a price of £135 per bulb which I would do but would rather find a cheaper alternative.

I then went on a bit of a google search and found these.

can anyone tell me if these will fit my car? and would there be any downsides to fitting them rather than Skoda ones?...btw I wouldn't be fitting myself as its way out of my skill set.

should say i've got a 2003 octavia  L&k

These are the ones for a Mk1 L&K Xenon headlight.

Yeah they are D2S fitment on the MK1.

Osram seem to be the preferred replacement as they're a bit brighter than standard ones.

Thanks so much Simspj, That's a huge saving over the Skoda ones!

HI Paul

just thought id say thanks for your help on this, I bought them  and then had them  fitted on Wednesday and wow what a difference,  I wish id changed them a couple of years ago but it was such a gradual process I hadn't realised how bad they had got!

skoda price would have been £270 + fitting  Briskoda price £92 + fitting

thanks again

Hi Tom

My pleasure, glad I could help a fellow Skoda owner.

Cheers

Paul
