Hello Briskoda! Let's see if this works...

I'm new here and in the market for a new car. So far, and after much deliberation, there is a (new) clear favourite! Superb is all I'm saying...

Welcome :hi: .  I'm liking your favourite so far!

Nice car, I had looked at a rapid 1.2tsi but decided on a fabia vrs going to treat myself think of it as a midlife crisis as im 40 next year. Going to relive my boy racer days but it was escorts and xr2i back then.

Boy racing! That was a few years since I heard that term. Nearing the big 40 with wife and two kids so family comfort is the order of the day here.... ;-)

So I only went and done it. Ordered a Superb yesterday! Been deliberating about buying a new car for a year, test driven various and changed my mind several times. Took a Superb home a few days ago for an extended run and it was a done deal. What a fantastic car for the money!!! So impressed! The only thing left to consider was colour and spec...

190 DSG 4x4 Business edition. Brilliant Silver. Additional heated steering wheel and rear warmed seats. (The equipment levels included in the Swedish business edition are astounding for the price) :-)

Well done!

Been looking at buying the Superb also, especially the heated bits! No doubt you'll need them in Sweden, as it's a bit further north than the Peak District. Couldn't beleive the specs on the Superb, compared with other really expensive marques such as a Merc or BMW, excellent value for money, - well done you!

Cheers guys! Feeling really pleased with my choice of car and super excited that it's factory new. Never had one this shiny and new before!

Bang on about the warmy extras, I've experienced as low as -36°c here, so anything to take edge off is a genuine bonus. The Peak District is a rugged part of the world, maybe it's worth an extended test drive with an equipped Superb! As you say, the Superb has fantastic equipment levels for the money, and furthermore it is a damn good car. I also tried the Passat Alltrack amongst various others, with similar equipment and too a very fine car. I was put off by the £6000 price difference and the paltry 2 year new car guarentee. The difference in quality was negligible I thought. And then there is all that space!!!

Hi everybody! I have been following this forum for quite a while and decided to register today. I absolutely love my Skoda, it offers the best quality to price! It is very important to have winter tires now in Finland as we have a lot of snow, I hope I'll manage.

Hello Tomppaleine! You running on studded tyres in Finland? Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 & 8 are the most trusted brand here thanks to Finnish development. There are many other decent winter tyres such as Continental, Gislaved, Pirrelli, Michelin and Dunlop but year after year it's Nokian that take number 1.
