TPMS and Winter Tyres

Featured Replies

I use winter tyres and I have just been told that I need to have sensors fitted to the tyres but since my car comes with TPMS do I need to get sensor's put on the tyres? Confused!

Who told you that?

TPMS uses the ABS module to check for slight differences in the speed of individual tyre rotation.

All you will need to do is resest the monitor when you have your new tyres fitted :)

This is the third time this question has been asked in the last couple of weeks.  Search function not working?

I apologise, at work and needed a answer asap. I thought so but was told I needed a sensor on tyres.
