heater not working

Featured Replies

hello

apologies if this has been dealt with before

i recently had a bad water leak which required a new water pump and hoses with labour it cost £750 !!

i now find the heater isnt working blowing but no heat i phoned scoda for some advice they said it is proberbly a air lock and to run it for 30 mins with filler cap off

i have tried this with no luck

has anyone got any ideas before i take it in again !!

best regards

Are the heater hoses pressuring and getting hot when the engine is up to temperature and the heater is on?

The phone advice makes some sort of sense, but only when/if there's a proven airlock in the system (answer to para (1) is 'no'), and should have been followed by topping up the coolant once the air had been expelled.
