Car pulling to the left

Featured Replies

My fabia has always pulled a bit to the left so before fitting my winter wheels I went to day to get the tracking sorted, but it's all in line ? Bloke says it could be some thing bent ? What could it be ? And we're do I start ? Thanks

Feel the front left brake after a drive, it may be binding.

The console bushes may also be worn.

I'd avoid Kwik Fix etc for wheel alignment

Mine pulls to the left a bit as well. It's quite a common thing with the Fabia.

Will check when I get to work today thanks

Mine seems to pull to the left also, although I've just got mine. Will get it all checked out in time. Good luck in solving the problem.

Was out in my mate's 1.9 TDi last night in the wet, greasy, leafy roads. Asked him if his car pulled either way or had torque steer so we repeated some hard acceleration on a quiet road. Straight as a die. Not even a hint of wandering. On brand new Maxxis Snowprox tyres too. So no, car should pull in a straight line.

Don't forget to take into consideration the camber of the road. I also remember being told that golfs used to have a natural tendancy to pull to the left. Don't know if this was true however.

So I checked the brakes after a 20 mile drive 3 of them warm and the back left cold ! !

You haven't made it clear whether it pulls to the left all the time (coasting) or under acceleration or under braking?

Sorry all the time it's constant only a slite pull but still a pull enough to take the edge off the tryer thanks Chris

If it's taking the edge off the tyre and pulling to one side and the Alignment guy is saying the tracking is fine then he is talking b#ll#x  - go to a proper wheel aligment place! Preferably one that uses Hunter equipment. Find one here:

Might cost around £40+ VAT but that is less than the price of a tyre!

Thanks golf fiend, found a garage in hull about 16miles from me , will try them and see what they say

No worries :) The alignment is all perfect on mine but it still pulls left if I take my hand off the steering wheel. Sometimes they just seem to be like that. My tyres wear evenly though.
