Got my Fabia VRS last week

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just to say I bought a yellow Fabia VRS last Thursday. Lovin' the yellow! Lovely to drive and STUPID mpg figures! After owning a highly modded Polo G40 the economy is incredible! Car's lovely to drive and so quiet! Was supposed to be getting it remapped (revo) on Saturday but the garage couldn't do it, so it looks like it'll be done this week sometime... fingers crossed!

First mod other than the revo is going to be a dension kit to hook up my 60gig Ipod Video to the head unit. Nothing like ripping your nice new car apart to install something tidily! (well it's a 54 plate with 6000 miles, but is new to me!)

Will hopefully get some pics up soon! :)

Nick

Glad you like it. Before you get the remap, do a search for the Seat Ibiza PD 160 air intake modification in the Fabia section and get one fitted.

Is it a worthwhile mod to do? You'll have to excuse my ignorance, all the cars I've owned previously have been oldskool vw's (golfs mk2's and polo mk3's) and all modding on those were chips and pulleys and mechanical stuff!

I'm assuming it'll draw more air in so will aid performance. I'll take a look tonight after work!

The PD160 intake is quite a bit larger and everyone says how good they are so for a few quid they must be worth it I figure.. I fitted mine yesterday but havent been out for a drive yet (and wont be able to for nearly a week :( )

Hi - welcome.

I do not have a Ibiza intake thing - and my remaped Fabia is quicker than a lot of others with the mod. Not saying it slows you down, it just makes very little difference if you have a decent map the perforamance will be there. A green filter is my only other engine mod !
