I have a job to do swapping old shagged bushes in the bottom arms for the audi tt ones and new front bushes.........have been getting tired of the knocking noises and clonks, and the high prices of garages, AND how quickly they seem to fail......(this is the third time in as many years) so am taking the plunge............also, just installed an HHO generator kit to see if I can break 100mpg......so far so good but too early to see any results

Looking forward to a new "DIY mechanic" chapter in my life !

Looking here will doubtless help and be interesting

Cheers chaps and chapesses

Changing arms is quite straightforward.  It's often the drop links that get the hammering and give up first.  Good luck with the DIY'ing.

Cheers Gaz......i'm just ordering some more parts to fit, drop links would be wise I think, ta.........and also thought I'd post a link to the HHO kit I have just fitted...........I am pretty confident that when it has calibrated and settled down that not only will I get 100mpg + , but the engine will clean up inside, the pollution coming out the back will reduce, but also the car will have more power !

Its all good.....(lets hope it does what it says on the tin eh).........support from the HHO PLUS uk agent has been outstanding.

this is another device new to market from the same guy, not quite such good results, but a lot easier to install. I am not trying this yet as the HHO is fitted to my car and gives better results  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GreenTech-Save-Fuel-Reduce-Emissions-Petrol-tanks-up-to100-litres-/282240733885?hash=item41b6dbd2bd

I smell some serious snake oily BS on that second link...

which starts with fuel type - petrol

and yet says its for diesel boats, generators. And the "test results" are from a diesel mondeo...

and its worth mentioning that i have over the yrs read up on the HHO idea, so im nit totally anti, just... dubious about that thing.

I never did get the HHO kit running a better MPG than standard, and despite many many lost hours fettling and adjusting, I came to the conclusion, HHO kit was a scam. I returned it and got a full refund.

My opinion now is to keep the car standard and well maintained. We see averages of 75mpg occasionally with careful driving. So not a bad default position.

Get into HHO with open eyes. It was nothing but a pain in the arse for me !
