Polo GT TDI ( Fabia VRS cousin) front wishbone rear bushes advice

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have a VW Polo GT TDI 2005 which as Im sure you know is basically a Fabia vRS but with a different badge. I took it to a local garage and said it needed amongst other things 2x new front wishbone rear bushes. Considering that the car has had a replacement already in 2011 I thought to save frequent trips to garages changing this part and doing tracking I'd upgrade them. So my question is should I opt for Seat cupra bushes or powerflex road series bushes?

Please help this is driving me mad, nobody outside of this forum seems to know what I'm talking about or give me a straight answer!!

Many thanks,

Tom Jones

Get PBS ones if you can, i've fitted 3 sets now and never had a problem.

It is a very common fault on them and they take alot of hammering on the road and wear out early.

Cupra ones are better and last longer however they are very difficult to fit DIY (well alot more effort than powerflex and PSB bushes)

Thanks for replying, what do you make of the Powerflex ones? because I've ordered some already. Do you reckon they're good enough or should I send them back?

No they are great, no need to send them back.

They work no problem and are nice and easy to fit
