Kodiaq steering wheel vibration

Featured Replies

Is anyone experiencing steering wheel vibration while driving between 100–130 km/h? The issue occurs on both the 20-inch summer wheels and the 17-inch winter wheels. The 20-inch wheels have been checked for balancing and everything is fine.

On SKODA service says that its normal for vibration 🤦 for my point it cannot be normaln that steering wheel is shaking on 2 different wheels. I hope that i am not only one, because they said that they checked suspension and all is OK, but i also see that od higway car is getting pulled always to the right.

Car is Kodiaq 1.5 TSI mHEV DSG 2025

I have noticed the same issue in a 2025 model 2.0 TDI 4x4, 19" Tyres.

The steering wheel vibrates at 100-120 km/h. Car has only 5k km so far. Strange vibration that should be coming from the tyres. Have not checked mine for Rebalancing yet.

I also feel a very light vibration on the pedals when accelerating and breaking as if the tyre vibrations are transferred to the floor and pedals of the car.

Maybe due to the type of asphalt i drive on.

No I have not. I think the tyres need a bit of balancing but have not done that yet.

I've done a few motorway miles on mine at 70mph and a quick blast at 120mph on a disused (but safe) runway, no issues at all and felt very solid at speed. In the past I've noticed uneven tyre wear, tracking after hitting a pothole (the UK roads are really bad) and poor balancing to be the cause. Sometimes balancing weights can fly off if not attached properly. Hopefully a friendly tyre centre can take a look for you.

In the UK, we have the AA and RAC motoring organisations that can witness your problem and submit evidence to Skoda/dealer. The AA has helped me reject poor cars in the past.

There's also tracking/camber alignment to check. Have you test driven an identical car with a Skoda representative in the car with you?
