Tyre Noise

Featured Replies

At last have reached the 20K mark on my Fabia 1.2 SE.

Forumites will possibly remember that I have long term ongoing hate for Bridgestone Turanza ER300, which are unacceptably noisy

There are signs that wear is now (at last) visible on the front tyres. Therefore I feel that I can be justified in replacing them soon.

Will probably go for Michelin CrossClimates (195x55x15)

However, I believe that the greater noise comes from the rear? - what is your opinion, which is the noisier front or rear?

I do remember. Surprised you hadnt got fed up and replaced them sooner mate.

As you know, i've got the Vector 4 seasons. However, if i was buying now id have the CrossClimates without question (they weren't out when i got the Vectors).

Not sure where most the noise comes from to be honest. This summer i sound deadened the car. Did all the boot floor and all 4 doors everywhere that i can get to. Made loads of difference, much better now.

Premium cars are still quieter, my mates Cayenne is quieter... but if i was to take the carpet out and do all the floor, im sure it wouldn't be far off that tbh.
