Burning Question

Featured Replies

When I got the vRS the radio worked in magical ways , I.e. Pushing pre-set 5 made pre-set 1 come on. Pressing CD changed it am , pressing the fad button did some other random act. So I changed it out , on removal the rear was scorched. New unit in , happy days. Today after the cold snap (car sat for 4 days) it was particularly condensed inside. On driving with the heating on for a while there was an acrid electrical smell, the LCD on the radio was redders and now when turning the key there is a short screeching noise from the radio area. Anyone had similar ?

So , new radio slaved in and the squeak noise when turning the key is still apparant , on removal the radio looked ok but gone with the new one due fact the LCD was hot. Also there is a ticking noise from behind the dash when the key is first turned. The burning smell has gone, any ideas ?
