VRS 230 revving by itself

My VRS 230 is approx 10 weeks old, and I've noticed a couple of times, that when stationary (and warmed up), the revs go up to 1500/2000, and up and down again. It's a dsg, and I've checked my foot isn't on the pedal, in fact I've actually 'hooked it up' to make sure it's not stuck.Any ideas ?

    Is it ensuring your battery is charged, lights on, A/C on, etc and acting as it should?

    It's only happened a couple of times, I doubt whether the computer would pick it up :-(
