Bolero chimes

Featured Replies

Each time my phone connects to the Bolero unit in my 2012 Yeti, it emits a chime.  The volume of this is driven by the volume of the ringer set at the time on the phone.  As I often use my phone in noisy environments, the ringer is set to maximum, so I get a deafening "boing" when I get into the car.

Is there any way to set / limit the volume of the chimes on the Bolero unit, so that I don't have to fiddle with the phone volume every time before I get into the car?

Yes, you can disable it altogether with VCDS. It is an adaptation of the bluetooth module. Search the forum, you will find instructions.
