Hello everyone! I have a glow plug light up on dash,am waiting to have it plugged in to find out the problem,car drove fine with the warning light on so am hoping it might not be the end of the world,ive been reading about the erg valve,would the car not have gone into limp mode if that was the issue?

Thanks . Ps. We do very few short journeys the car gets a good 200 mile round trip at least once every ten days.

As long as i know the EGR issue is not related to tipe of driving. It just happens due the diesel.

Its good the car is not in limp mode, but you have to see what diagnostic will show up.

As u say "is not the end of the world"! I recently changed the EGR valve on my 2.0 Octi.

The 1.6 engine is more sensitive on this one.

Hope u don"t have the same luck. Which i think is just a matter of time!
