1. Scrape ice off car

2. Stop at the exit to the estate as windchill has re-frozen the windscreen.

3. Scrape enough ice off.

4. Driver's door will not close. :(

5. Teeter back to the house trying not to swear whilst holding door closed.

6. After much messing about discover driver's outside door handle had stuck open/pulled.

7. Push door handle back in and everything's fine.

It's still a bit dickie now but at least I know the 1st thing to look at.

Much WD40 was expended.

Mucho fun :D

-5 in sunny somerset this morning, had a frozen/sticking handbrake for the first mile until it all warmed up a bit and released.

Step 1: Get a lightweight Car cover .

Step 2: Get weather alarm text service on your phone.

Step 3: When text warns of overnight temperature below freeing apply car cover (An hour after last use) - remembering that battery electrolyte of a partially discharged battery can start to freeze solid @ -10c. and that if that happens its £65 for a new one and a nice walk to work.
