Hi

 

I have decided to upgrade my octavia in a comfort sense - i.e. cruise control, hid, and single click unlock on all doors.

 

The car is a pre facelift 2005 model (mk2) and had a blown headlamp.  I purchased the londonhid kit as recommended (4300k 35w non canbus) but after installing, the bulb warning light went out!

 

i thought id code it anyway, but am unable to find the setting of bixenon shutter anywhere.  can someone pls help.

 

also, which model controller do i need for cruise control, and where can i select the 1 click unlock on the remote pls.

byte 3 bit 4 does not exisit (blank)
byte 2 bit 2 - unticked cold lamp diagnosis

by19bt0 - cold diag low beam - (unticked)

 

when using headlight flash - the hid's flicker / turn off

Any reason why you're using such an old version of vcds. If it's the obvious one, then a genuine cable and up to date software may be useful.

lcode 2 didn't have the options either I'm afraid.

I would happily buy the genuine cable but cant afford it at the moment.  If I could find someone who sold it so I could pay monthly, I would buy it!

Any thing else I can do to fix the lights??

I have tried this with my mechanics v16.8 and am still seeing the same options - there is no option for Byte 3 Bit 4 Xenon headlights without shutters.

 

LCODE2 displays exactly the same - there is no tickbox.

 

I tried changing the bit code manually, bit when I try to code it, it says nothing has been changed!  Any ideas to why its not working??  There is no error light on the dash - but when I switch on the main beam - the hid's flicker - and when I turn off the main beam, one or both of the hid's will go out, until I switch the lights off and on again!
