Thanks.

They rang and asked me to book an appointment, really soon as well. THey asked if I had gotten a letter from Skoda yet, but I Havent so they say it should be here in a few days

The recall isn't listed on the vehicle recalls section of the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) site here as yet.

Oh, maybe It's just mine, It hasn't blown up in my face yet, and you get a nice look around the showroom.
Manufacturers can be very slow to issue safety recalls - assuming that this falls into that category - because of the risk of adverse publicity.

Worrying me know as I have an iarbag light on that I have not got round to looking at.

Its the one under the radio not in the dash cluster.

Mines a 55 I got at xmas.

Mmmmmmmmmmm???????????????????

You are worried + there is an airbag wiring problem = contact your dealer asap and set your mind at rest.

The one under the radio comes on when the airbag has been de-activated by turning the key in the glove box, are you sure you have'nt disabled it?

Do you have the airbag deactivation switch in the glove box? If so the warning light under the radio maybe warning you that the airbag is in fact swiched off.

Insert the key into the switch and turn it on and see if the light goes out, might be that simple. (sorry if you already know this and it is a fault).

My cars booked in for next monday, I have the airbag light showing on the dash and in the maxi dot display. Hopefully if there is a recall they will do the work at the same time.

Anyone else with a new Octy?

2ltr L&K 05 just gone back for the 3rd time today and I made them pick it up. First time they said it was a loose connection, second time replaced somthing to do with the ignition switch this time ??

Will ask difficult questions when they call

Oh didnt notice a swith in there, best go and have a look !

I have not turned it off though so it must have come like it!

With regard to the airbag re-call on Oct.2 I was told when mine went in that it was due to 'crossed wires' between drivers and passengers airbags??? I assume that the passengers would have deployed instead of the drivers (if this is accurate info.) Wouldn't surprise me, I think the build standard was a bit 'iffy' on early cars - new production line & operaters = problems in industry normally. For example my bonnet support arm was fitted incorrectly. I'm sure all is well 18 months on though!

Last post it was in for the 3rd time. It's on its 5th now. The last time it only lasted 50 miles before the Air Bag Warning light came on. Its due back tomorrow but even if it stays off how can I be sure its working. Any one else with multimple Airbag issues??

:( :( :(

Checked mine out and it was fine after I turned it on....

Ooops!
