And what is ironic is that pick ups aren't subjected to the same emission regulations. So hypocritical. Makes you wonder if there was a certain element of American self interest in "dieselgate"?

The Executive Vice President (and he has other various titles) of GM International is STEFAN JACOBY.

That is the STEFAN JACOBY that was the Head of VOLKSWAGEN USA / NORTH AMERICA 2007-2010.

He left to head VOLVO, then went to GM.

 

He was the head of VW in the USA when the VW Group introduced Clean Diesel cars to North America.

 

Now odd that STEFAN JACOBY is not mentioned in any VW Defeat Device Scandal articles i have read in the past 14 months, other than ones i post.

GM have their own large SUV diesels which are going to have to meet the Californian regs in any case, and they're getting stricter also.

Their small diesels are Detroit Diesel owned Italian made VM Motori ones AFAIK, also used in some Korean ones and even the Jeep Wrangler I had.

They'll all be SCR in any case.
