Boot Light

Featured Replies

So about three months ago I pensioned off the Roomster and got myself a Toledo.  When the nights started drawing in it appeared that the boot light wasn't working.  I could see where the light was, but wasn't certain how to get the cover off and didn't want to 'Gorilla' it.  Today I happened to be passing the dealers whilst they were open (about 45 miles away).

Saw the service manager and explained the problem, 'let's have a look' was the response.  It took thirty seconds, cover off (carefully!) and light reconnected.

'We display the cars with the hatch open so we disconnect the light to avoid draining the battery'.

Doh!  Why didn't I think of that?

Id be more thinking,

Why didnt they think to reconnect it before you drove away, given its not something 95% of peopke are going to notice :D

To be fair, he did apologise for having missed it.
