Hello everybody. I'm a mechanic and I drive a 2005 Octavia Mk2 1.9 TDI BKC. I've had it about 4 years. I bought it because, in my experience, they're reasonably reliable and don't usually need much work for MoT. However, mine has blown 2 turbos in that time, but not much else. It has had the Valeo solid flywheel conversion fitted, it doesn't have a DPF, and it drives well despite an intermittent EGR fault. So I'm in no hurry to update it to a newer one with more troublesome bits.
