Featured Replies

I thought everything went too well with my new headunit install... i seem to have disconnected what ever is connected to the back of the hot/cold knob on the heating controls! ive only got hot air so looks like the dash has to come apart again.

anyone got any idea how to get to it?

i did find this and it should help.. http://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk2/heating_ventilation_air_conditioning_system/heating_air_conditioning/heating/removing_and_installing_parts_of_the_heater_unit_part_1/removing_and_installing_heater_control/

It does just plug back on. You will have to take headunit back out and then probably you could just reach your hand in the headunit hole. But if not the heater/AC control unit does come out easily as per your link. The headunit has to be out to take the heater/AC unit off anyway, the headunit blocks the lower screws.

On my roomster the gearing seems to be 2:1 so check your control knob functions as intended and is not 180° out if so you would need to unplug the drive cable again, turn your knob 180° and reconnect. You would not want to put it all back together and find you were 180° out.

My Roomster has a 2 Din Radio. That link shows a 1 Din hole so it be slightly different.
