Picked up a Fabia 3 for the wife yesterday, lovely car, but the stereo isnt working, just an intermittent black horizontal line, and no communication with VCDS, any ideas? Tested for power at the quadlock and thats fine too.

Fabia 3 would still be under warranty, but you've posted in the Fabia 2 forum. I guess it was a typo?

Anyway, sounds like the head unit is ronnied, so either back to the supplying dealer or look for a replacement I guess.

Its a fabia 2, 2007, model is fabia 3. Its confusing i know! lol

Fitted dash cam this afternoon and radio has started working by itself, i'm not complaining!

Maybe just a loose connection ?
