Can i replace with this one for vw models and it will fit fine or its better to buy the standard 2din and a fáscia/adapter for it?

Thanks

Shame no one has been able to post an  answer to this tropic as i too would like to replace the standard radio

More than likely this will fit, you may need the Columbus surround for it but the big problem is you will need the canbus controller updating on your car or you will suffer battery drain.

Regarding the canbus controller updating is this a big job and would i need to have this done at the skoda dealers :peek:

On a 2005 Octavia no it's not. It's behind the glove box so is very easy to get to.

You can find the correct ones for less than £40 and then find a local member on here with vcds to code it in for you.
