Wet rear passenger floor update

Featured Replies

Well after finding a wet rear carpet 6 months ago I hope now the problem has been sorted.

So far the car has has a new door seal - Sparshatts, Fareham.

The rear ancillary door carrier was modded by falmouth skoda - who ended up not really finding a problem, but managed to trash the front passenger door trim when the stripped that door down just in case - I'll never use them again.

(They over charged me for the service, didn't fix the fault, trashed the front door trim, didn't reset the service indicator when they serviced it, and checking the computer managed 7 mpg over an 11 mile test drive)

Finally took it back to where i got it at Mid Cornwall Cars in Roche, who replaced the front door trim and hopefully found the real cause...

There is a connection in the rear wash pipe that is located under the trim in front of the rear arch. This connection has seperated, just enough to spray water out of it, but still provide pressure to the rear jet.

When it sprayed the water ran down the front of the rear arch, under the trim into the rear left footwell.

Hopefully it is now sorted - but now i know there is another coupling in the rear washer line.

For those of you still suffering from a wet floor after the ancillary carriers have been modded, it might be worth checking this union out.

I'll give an update in a few weeks, once it has been proved this was the problem (fingers crossed)
