DIY coolant pressure tester

Featured Replies

Been looking at lots of different  D.I.Y. coolant pressure tester's on youtube using a tire valve and bike pump etc. Has anyone tried it for a skoda and if so how did you go about making one?

Wondered weather it mite require adapting a spare expansion tank cap or is there a simpler way that I'm missing?

Great for those that work on multiple cars but I was just looking for a cheap way to test my skoda. Got as far as buying a tyre valve for £2 and will get a spare cap online for £4.25. Bit of tinkering and should do the job.
