hi all 

 

sometimes when i lock my car and leave it over night the drivers door won't unlock if i re lock it and press lock button twice it will open as normal?

 

any ideas guys , cars a mk1 vrs 2004

 

Motor in the door is failing. My passenger side started doing the same thing so I replaced it.

Best get it sorted sooner rather than later before it permanently deadlocks itself and you can't open the door....

did you get a new one from dealers or ebay???????

Ebay. The drivers side is the worst to do as you need to mess about with the lock barrel. I also changed my drivers side motor due to the switch for the interior light not working and I still can't get the key to work properly in the door for some reason. The motor itself is fine though.

Still on the v6 TT'S but the air is long gone!
