Engine Identity

Featured Replies

Hi,

Our pool car Octavia, 06 plate has had at some point in its past an engine replacement. It was built as a TDI and is still diesel, but it goes so well that I can't beleive its a 110 BHP. I have a 2.0 140 bhp TDI Touran and the Octavia has a alot more get up and go than the Touran.

So what numbers do I need to identify the engine?

Thanks

If it has had a replacement engine, look for the engine number that will be stamped on the block.

Its a BKD 103kw - which I think makes it a 140bhp if its got the original engine. Haven't been able to find the engine number on the block yet.
