GL5 gear oil 75W-80 in 02Q gearbox

I horsed in some bottles of Febi 75W-80 into my Octavia. Havn't driven it yet. Now I'm wondering will this oil reduce my gearbox to a container full of metal filings? is GL4 supposed to be better for these gearboxes?

my understanding is GL5 is not backwards compatible with GL4 something to do with the type of bronze/brass used

Repeated daily Infotainment update issues

Hi all, Anyone else getting repeat Infotainment updates that don't appear to be installing, I'm getting this problem on my 2024 Superbs Infotainment unit nearly every day, when I look on the Information tab I can see the updates and when it says they're installed, and a prompt to say the installation will be active the next time the car is started, so all looks correct. But literally the next day I'll get another message on the screen to say updates are available and ready to install, and the sa

My new 2026 Škoda Superb L&K was delivered with the driver’s seat looking like this (see attached photos). The wrinkle/crease on the seat base was already there when I picked up the car. I initially assumed it would disappear after a while, but it has remained exactly the same. I recently bought a Skoda 1.5 se l 2024 Reg. I was under the impression that it automatically locks after so many seconds after you have left the car (without having to physically lock it using the key fob). Mine doesn’t seem to do that. So is that feature only available on certain models? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Looking for some advice applicable to another VAG group model on a shared component. My air con has a leak on the right hand side front High- / low pressure pipe which has a bolted/O ring connection to the condensor and a male/female type connector at the other end. Question is how does this male/female connection work and do I need any special tools to separate the existing and install the new? Photo of example part Attached. Thanks in advance.
