lumbar support, new octavia

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I have a bad back and the lumbar support on my new Octavia 2L Tdi Ambiente is not prominent enough even on full adjustment. The old Octavia I had was much better.

I unclipped the seat cover in the new car and pulled it up at the back. Couldn't get the front of the cover up as it seemed to be trapped by the seat. On winding the lumbar support control the lumbar support cable didn't even move for the first 5 turns of the control.

Does anyone know how I can get the seat cover up further, and whether I will be able to tighten up the cable that controls the lumbar support?

I would be very grateful for advice on this as the osteopath is costing me a fortune!

Apart from this the car is really enjoyable to drive.

All The Best,

Tony

Tried out an L&K with motorised lumbar adjustment - must say I couldn't detect much happening as I played with the buttons - but I still bought it....

I'll get tortured for this but i don't find it a problem cos I have a magnetic bracelet. Does a great job for me. In agony within a day or 2 of taking it off and forgetting to put it back on so i know it works. Worth a try. Alternatively get some sort of cushion for the seat. Doubt the dealer could help you.
