VRS Making groaning noise in reverse occasionally

Featured Replies

Hi my VRS makes an odd groining noise in reverse, seems to happen more when its with going up hill or has near full lock on.

Here's a video of it, the noise can be heard on about 20 seconds.

Its had new brakes at he front, discs and pads. Not long since had a new rear axle.

Passed the MOT making this noise so it makes me think its nothing to serious

No sound on this computer but search for brakes and mooing - Yes I am serious.

Cheers pal will look into it.

As Ken said, common problem.

You can reduce it by fitting handbrake return springs to the calipers, which will eliminate about 90% of it,

But if the weather has been really wet or damp overnight, you will still get it to some extent.

You could also give your rear pads and caliper sliders a check to make sure all is free and appropriately lubricated as well.
