There is an offer on the table for you to appear on Discovery UK and quest, with your car and some money too, if fame wasn't enough  ;) Filming starts soon.

They are looking for interesting characters from all vehicle ranges. Really should not be a problem  :)

If you're interested have a quick read of what Natalie; Casting Assistant Producer,  has to say, her contact details are below as well.

I am a Casting Assistant Producer contacting you from Discovery-we are currently working on a series of 10 second promo clips for ebay, celebrating British motoring to be broadcast on Discovery channel and Quest. In these clips, we will see motoring enthusiasts from around the UK share a little of their individual knowledge and top car tip(s).

We are looking for a diverse range of car enthusiasts from all backgrounds (and of all vehicles), from keen amateurs who enjoying tinkering on their own cars at weekends, to individuals who have taken on multiple restoration projects. For those taking part, it will involve half a day’s filming with a small crew, in their area and there will be a small appearance fee on offer for their time.

I just wondered if there were any members of your club who might be interested in the opportunity-particularly those who enjoy doing the odd jobs on their vehicles and may have experience using eBay to purchase parts/accessories online?

The filming is pencilled to start from mid Jan-so I would be very grateful if you could spread the word for us at the earliest opportunity.

Any location requirements?

No location requirements, actually a lot of interest thus far has some from the South East and as we are hoping to represent the UK, it would be great to hear from a few more people further north (midlands/Manchester/Liverpool etc). We will be filming all over.

The key is thing is, we need people to get in touch asap who are potentially interested-as filming starts pretty soon, up until the end of the month.-just ask them to drop me a quick email and I’ll give them more info.

I’d also like to emphasise that we would be particularly keen to hear from those, who are not necessarily more seasoned car enthusiasts (working on projects/restorations) but those who are engaged in the upkeep of their own car, may have bought the odd part on eBay, carried out a few more simple jobs on their driveway/personal garage and do the odd bit of tinkering on weekends. Again, we are looking to represent the spectrum age/ability etc.

As its for TV we are always looking for great characters who would be happy to chat on camera. It’s going to be a really fun project and there is a £500 appearance fee for those that take part.

For those who are interested, please could you ask them to get in touch with me for more info-either by email [Natalie_Ehrnreich at discovery.com] or give me a call on 020 8811 3687

Let us know how you get on and remember us when you've launched your range of eccentric spanners  ;)

Sounds about as exciting as James May's 'Reassembler'.

Do you tinker with your car and buy **** off ebay for it? Does your car look like you ram raided a Halfords closing down sale?

Do you have misspelled tattoos, 3+ wives, visually arresting disease of the face, twitches and/or a socially compromising mental disorder? If so get in touch for £500 worth of Greggs vouchers!

:) I watch discovery and quest from time to tim, mostly while munching a sandwich between phone calls.

The current Renault ads with James Cracknell are in Snowdonia... I nearly choked on the actor half way up one of the most desperate slate routes going... topping out some miles away :D

@10secs A desperate slate route @f7b - think 15' of dinner plate smooth rock.

@12 secs one of the easiest next to it - frequently soloed this

@14 another spot, good for kids

@31 easy, camped just down from it.

@32 he moves fast...

@36 Skyline Crib Goch, a lovely scramble
