Hi guys.been for a test drive,got to have 1. used to have old type octy vrs and at present got Fabia Vrs. Can anyone tell me am i correst in thinkin,you cannot order the Light Assistant and the Maxi-Dot can only be ordered in Conjunction with sat-nav???????

Don't think so, I believe you can have these seperately if you wish but I am sure your friendly dealer will let you know what you can or cannot have!.

I think you might be right about light assist but I think maxidot is standard or you can spec it ok on its own. If you spec satnav you have to get maxidot cos the directions also appear on it.

Light assistant uses the same sensor as the auto wipers, according to a friendly contact of mine at a VW dealer. If your car has them then you just need to get a new switch and have the light assist option in the ecu switched from sleep to active. If you dont then forget it as it would be a nightmare (sensor inc auto dip rear view mirror required and I wouldnt rule out the possibility of a different windscreen too)!

Well I've ordered the light assistant for my vRS, also had to order the maxidot due to the sat-nav
