Although the rear wheel drive 300+ club is pretty Germanic.

If it's comfortable isn't likely to find every ditch in Wales I'd be tempted. But 200+ is enough on open road, sort of.

I don't think they'd done enough to be mould breaking. If it was running 400hp+ or a 500+ 4x4 it woulkd make more of a mark. But this is dropped in with some pretty established competition

  • A 7 Year Warranty for someone buying second hand is even more of a benefit - buy at 3 Years after much of the depreciation has happened and still have a longer Warranty than a brand new Skoda! Sounds

  • It's probably for the USA, we'll get 2.0TD

  • I love this. Engineered by an Ex M division BMW boss too. My local dealer is saying a September launch in the UK and is being told we will be getting the 3.3 litre in the UK.

Yeah

You’ve got to think ahead to the business of offloading it eventually and compare that to sell your beemer.

1 year old Demonstrator and WBAC Valuation is £24,500.

So that would be £10,000 plus down if anyone was silly enough to have paid Asking Price new,

or dealers Asking Price now and having to punt it not long after would be a big hit in the pocket.

Someplace someone said that magazines said they would not be bad for depreciation.     Ye that will be chocolate.

‘Premium’ brands also depreciate very quickly from new.

It’s what happens to all cars. +/- 50% in first three years. Makes the bargains that can be had 2nd hand all the better for us.

Not a premium brand though and still too expensive asking price 1 year on. KIA and KIA Dealers not wanting them to appear as depreciation disasters and as desirable as stale cakes.

Saw that the otehr day George. I think it was sell for the WBAC price but not much more

I quite fancy it for 'much cheapness' , then next door for some suitable tyres.

Better wait and see if i have a licence allowing me to drive first....  Till then i will keep my campaign to drive down the price of these cars.

^^^^ Not sure if it’s the light but the plastic bumpers/skirts is such a mismatch it would play havoc with my ocd 😱😱

Two things hurting it at that price, those nasty looking alloys and the smell of diesel.

The other question who trades in a Stinger for a Vauxhall.

Don't spill the diesel then when filling up.

They're not bad aloys for a Kia, they're usually a lot worse.

I like the GTS alloys but the ones fitted on that diesel remind me of the 2012 Sirius fitted to my Dad's Superb estate which are a nightmare to clean with that multi-spoke design. Black looks better than white on the Stinger as well.

Last diesel cars I bought was a facelift 2014 Mk2 Superb and a 2015 Vrs Octavia.

Well you had Euro 5's.

Emissions changed a bit with Euro 6, but then they can still wiff when doing regens.

The Superb had 119gm/km so qualified for £30 road tax. Unfortunately the clutch had to be replaced under warranty at 11,000 miles so it had to go.

Yes, but it had a Defeat Device and was discredited as the tests were snide.

Just spotted a 3.3 Stinger for under 20k on Autotrader. 74k miles though and horrible colour but sexy red interior!

Link?

It's actually done 76,214 miles 2018 on 18 plate in Grey. Interior looks like brand new despite the mileage and not sure if the 7 year warranty from KIA is intact but a lot of performance (365bhp) for just £19,995. Available at Car World Peterborough.

More info

Half price hero for a low mileage person about to retire.

TBH a low mileage example wouldn't sell for much more.

If that was £23k for a 30k miler on an 18 I'd say it was a bargain.

Did Jezza not call it the Kia Stinker?

🤔

not a great looking slab that’s for sure
