mirror link and panel lights

Featured Replies

I have just had mirror link installed and now find that if I have the normal car lights switch set to auto, the mirror link  satnav screen shows up with "nightime" brightness.  However, if I switch the car lights switch to "off"  the satnav now thinks it is daytime but I now can't see the speedo and rev counter etc as their panel lights are off.  What am I missing????  Should not the speedo panel lights be on all the time the ignition is on?

Nope. I don't think so any more.

Light switch on AUTO or ON and you will get the dash lamps on OK.

Light switch OFF or SIDE (PARKING) then no dash lamps.

I like this new set up as it reduces the chance of driving away without lights on when they should be on.

Just count the nutters who are driving around with dashboard lit up and only day lights on the front of the vehicle at this time of year!!

Pause - for - breath.
