Hi, i have a 2007 mk2 Fabia with the Dance stereo.

 

The stereo doesn't play CDs anymore.

 

Would a Swing stereo be a good swap? I don't need satnav etc, just a stereo which can play the odd CD, and the Swing looks better than the Dance too, or would it be better to just find a working Dance stereo?

Depends what's cheaper, both the swing and dance are the basic radio units for the fabia. If you stick to Skoda radios it will be a simple swap with plug and play.

If you don't want anything special then just replace the radio with a dance or swing, just make sure you get a radio code.

Even if you dont get the radio code, theirs people on ebay who will sort you out with that if you message them your S/N and a tenner. 

 

Defeats the objective of having a code, i know, but its useful none the less.
