Interior swap for vRS

Featured Replies

I’m looking to get a different interior for the vRS.  I’m not a massive fan of the OEM seats and the Mrs finds them uncomfortable to sit in because the seat base is so long.  The edge of the base digs into the back of her legs & therefore she can’t/won’t drive the car.  Some people may sat this is a bonus but on longer journeys it works for us if she drives as I have a bad back & a break from driving is welcome.

I’m looking at interiors from a Mk5 Golf, the 8P Audi A3 and the Mk2 Leon.  Has anyone on here used anything other than an Octavia interior?  I’m aware that the connectors for the air bag might be different but other than that, I’m assuming that they bolt straight in.

Also, I’ve noticed on my travels that some ebay listings say that the Mk6 Golf interior fits the MK5 so my assumption is that it would also fit in the Octavia.

Any help on this would be welcome as I’m noticing that the Mk2 Leon FR interiors seem to be going for less than the Mk5 Golf stuff.  I don’t particularly want leather seats and would be perfectly happy with fabric.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew.
