Hello guys just wondering if people could point me in the right direction for some replacement parts or how to rectify these little snags.

Thanks in advance guys

1. Is the badge metal?

I'd be tempted to put a flat screw driver on it and give it a few taps. I'm sure you can get the badge though!

2. Wiper arms. Readily available although not sure on price. But sure, clean them up and paint them :)

@hutchy yes buddy the badge is metal, can I get it off to hit it though? Knowing my luck I'd hit it so hard the bloody airbag will pop off in my face lol

@ offski cheers buddy will take a look

Wikinoob, i was forgetting that had been Brians car.

I think he needs to explain what he was doing to that steering wheel badge.

Must have been his lucky charm and getting fingered quite a bit.

I'm not 100% sure, but it was most likely caught by a ham-fisted valeter.

Good excuse Brian lol hope you well buddy

They're not exactly gentle when cleaning the interior - always had to reset the radio and Bluetooth (BT thing) after a valet.

I like my peoples that do mine...about 6 over it at 1 time but I've told them that only one person is to clean the inside so I know which one is to blame if anything untoward goes on!

Talking about snags...

Does anyone else's boot squeak when you open and close it?

And do the doors drop slightly?

Boot squeaks occassionally. Spray some silicone based lubricant on the hinges and it solves it. Does on mine anyway.

No my doors havent dropped. Fortunately...

Mines the struts that squeak. I've put grease on them and that's solved it, but on both my 2012 Fabias though.

The doors on my 2008 one, it hasn't dropped noticeably but if you close the door slowly you feel it drag the last bit before it closes

Not really supposed to lubricate struts, but if it stops them squeaking then its a winner haha.

Yeah, little drop of grease, open and close a few times then sorted.

I sprayed the wiper arms earlier in the Autumn. You'll probably need a wiper arm tool to remove the wiper from the splined shaft. Spray penetrating release on it a couple of days before tackling it.

With the wiper arm off, I used a rotary wire brush on a drill to remove all corrosion from the wiper arm hinge. Clean with methylated spirit and allow to dry. At this time if year you'll need to spray in a warm and ventilated environment. I used zinc etching primer on the bare metal. Couple of coats of that. The black paint, then avoid Hammerite. I used high temperature engine manifold paint. It dries to a matt lustre and goes on very nicely. 3-4 coats and allow to dry thoroughly. Apply a little marine grease to the splined wiper arm shaft and pop 'em back on, just don't over torque.

My arms are the same. They will be getting done when the weather brightens up...
