Loose wires + Sensor Plugs

Featured Replies

Hi All

it looks as though I have a loose wire within my rail pressure sensor plug.  Is there a way to fix these or maybe replace them?  The wire (i believe) could come out.

any helps appreciated.

thanks in advance

anybody?

I'm guessing this is something that happened/was discovered whilst fitting the DTUK box? If the wire is loose, you can only hope to crimp it back in somehow, or even solder it. I doubt just a connector can be replaced without a whole section of loom.

I suppose warranty is out of the question - the dealer will probably want to know why you were anywhere near it

So not very helpful, sorry. Perhaps an auto electrician could sort it?

yeah spotted it when the box was fitted.  It would seem that tools can be bought to remove the pins and then reinstall them.  The pins themself are over £3 each and they can be reused once crimped which is a pain.  Auto electrician didnt seem interested to be honest
