Xenon bulb replacement

Hi

Can anyone help? I have a Superb 54 plate with Xenons. Passenger side main beam has stopped working and I want to swap the bulbs to make sure that is the problem because there is moisture in the unit. I have seen stark warnings of instant death when messing with these! Does disconnecting the battery solve this and can I do it without removing the full headlight units?

Thanks in advance

Access is pretty poor, and you need to keep the xenon burner perfectly clean otherwise they'll burn out quick.  I vote for taking the bumper off and popping the lights out.

As above, bumper off (look for an excellent guide in search) change both at the same time, for best results recondition the lenses and have the lights focused using the correct equipment, must be put in reference position using the VCDS then adjusted as needed, they are excellent when properly set up!
