Bolero acceptable file formats?

Featured Replies

Hi/

I am new to this forum, so firstly, hello from Edinburgh.  I am also new to Skoda, having just ordered a Yeti, after 36 years of VWs!  I am also new to everything that has happened since 2006.  This includes not being able to play CDs.  I believe the Yeti will be coming with the most up to date version of the Bolero 'Infotainment' system.

While I am waiting for my new car, I am tasked with transferring all my music from my CD collection onto an SD card.  I have iTunes on my PC, though I have barely used it.  It seems to know what it is doing, though.  If I just upload a CD to iTunes, and drag and drop it to the SD, it appears as M4A files.  Would these play on the bolero, or do I need to convert them to MP3 or some other format.  Obviously I would like to be doing the right thing at the start so I don't waste my time putting everything on in a format that will not play.

I'm also very unsure of folder structure (playlists?) - how to transfer whole CDs so they show up on bolero as whole albums, rather than just a humungous long list of unfiltered tracks.  Any advice gratefully received.
