My current PCP doesn't finish until October next year. However i found myself looking into residuals and part ex values. TBH at the moment i am quite shocked. Currently if i were to part ex my octy i would be short on the finance by 1.5 - 2 k. :-O

 

Looking at what my GFMV is on my PCP my car would need to lose less than 1k based on the part ex value currently before the end of my PCP in October next year. 

 

So the way i see it is that it is unlikely there will be any sort of cash left over and above the GFMV to use as a possible deposit against another Skoda. I understand that this is sometimes how it goes and will have to scrape a deposit together for my next vehicle. But i am also slightly shocked at how much the Mk3 would appear to have depreciated.

 

Has anyone else experienced this with a Mk3??

 

TBH i doubt i will have another Octavia, i could be interested in a Fabia estate but a higher spec, and it certainly won't be diesel giving the bashing they are getting and are going to continue to get by the looks of it.

 

Would really like to go for a full EV, but thats another thread. lol

I suspect Skoda are going to be left with a shed load of diesel vehicles which they can't shift. lol

 

I suppose a PCP can also work in the owners favour in this case as you can just hand the vehicle back.

There are still plenty of people buying diesels so doubt there will be loads left that Skoda can't shift. The possible diesel scrappage is still years and years away and it will only involve older diesels.

More a case of where you won't be allowed to go and the social stigma/name calling

 

"Oh look there goes that Fn filthy stinking oil burning ex-tractor fan" or FFSOBETF for short  !!!!

 

But, the FL O3 L and K is only available in FFSOBETF
