Turning Off Rear Wipers

Featured Replies

Recently I was on the motorway ,regularly using the front wipers and washers to get rid of the salt slurry. The rear wiper joined in - not a good idea as the dry rear screen was partially covered in dried salt.

I realise now that the rear wiper joins in  when the front wipers are running- but not on intermittent. Is there any way to disable/deselect this auto running?

It's an option in the infotainment screens.

Thanks.Too clever by half. Just searched both manuals and found it. Not sure why anyone would really need that option- as I said above it does have a negative side. I never wanted the option when I had my MkII FL.

But will the single rear wipe, on engaging reverse with the wipers running, also be disabled?
