Removal and deleting Intake manifold flaps

Featured Replies

Evening lads!

Quick question. I have X amount of fault codes appear on my 2006 Skoda Octavia VRS petrol. Dropped the car to a garage and he advised me i=going by all the fault codes, its the intake manifold flaps. He said it would cost a bomb to get a manifold from VW/Skoda, and his solution is he would take the flaps out of the manifold and delete it from the ECU. Would this cause any issues? or even long term?

Thanks in advance

You can buy the offending part, this may well be it but check first https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/vdo/1736929 which is the motor unit on the end of the manifold and replace it with the removal of 3 bolts....part is £120 bolts are awkward to get access to but doable....hope this helps
